Silver Marrow Slivered Dream
listlessly she drenches
the twin blade
of severed moments
and tower heartbeats
with tunnels
of wind-swept water
which burrow fitfully into her lungs
bracketed by
the ocean-full darkness
her failed grip
on the piercing vines
of remorse
leaves bothhandsfree
to wrestle
with her 2 decades
of meandering yearning
suddenly
her eyes swallow a 5 megapixel photo
of pruned roses:
she's choking on an old petal
dried out from years of being
stuck between the pages
of her abandoned journal
and
then comes the blurry close up
view of an adam's apple
and its serpentine,
gulping finale
